Panda Golden Kiwi

In 2008 GlobalHort purchased the global PVR for the Huayou kiwifruit cultivar, a new yellow-fleshed kiwifruit cultivar branded Panda™ Golden Kiwi.Huayou was selected from the seedlings of wild kiwifruit. It is a hybrid variety between deliciosa and Actinidia chinensis. Its main characters tend to A. chinensis.Huayou fruit ripens from a mild green color to yellow / golden flesh when ready to eat. The fruit is hairless and the skin a light brown in color. Soluble solids level of ripe fruit is between 16% - 19%.GlobalHort is the owner of the Huayou PVR. As the owner of the PVR, GlobalHort enjoys exclusive rights to all plant material, including fruit and bud wood, as well as exclusive sales and marketing rights.The purchase of this PVR has given GlobalHort critical mass in the kiwifruit industry and positions it as the leading kiwifruit company in Shaanxi Province and one of the leading kiwifruit companies in China.
